Our gallery was created in 1972 as Galerie Ditesheim, François Ditesheim, Neuchâtel, Switzerland. In 2013 Galerie Ditesheim, became Ditesheim & Maffei Fine Art Sa with the arrival of a new partner, Patrick Maffei born in 1973 (who works since 2005 at the Gallery).
In 2022 the Neuchâtel Gallery celebrated 50 years of activity. 300 and more exhibitions has been organized at the Gallery!
From 1989 to 2007, François Ditesheim was associated with Jan Krugier in Geneva as Krugier-Ditesheim Art Contemporain, then as Galerie Jan Krugier, Ditesheim & Cie. Krugier-Ditesheim has been paticipated at artbasel from 1989 to 2006.
Galerie Ditesheim was present at artbasel from 1976 to 1988 (except 1981) and in 2007.
We organize at least six exhibitions a year of high level international and Swiss artists
The artistic line of our Gallery is very personal and apart from the common trend and fashion.
For our next participation in the Salon du Dessin (the eleventh) part of our stand is dedicated to the English artist Simon Edmondson.
He has lived in Madrid for more than 20 years and has devoted himself to the in-depth study of Velasquez over the last ten years, far removed from the satirical paraphrases of Dalì, Richard Hamilton or Picasso.
A group of drawings, Homage to Velazquez, will be exhibited. The artist created these drawings using documents left by Velasquez where he commented on these four works (works lost following the fire in Velasquez's workshop).
The only “survived” work is Mercury and Argos (visible at the Prado in Madrid). The work presented is a charcoal from this series.

Dear visitors,
Due to the gravity of the international situation resulting from the spread of COVID-19 and in order to protect the health of all parties concerned, we have decided to cancel the 29th edition of the Salon du dessin.
France officially declared a state of health emergency on 24 March for two months and there are still numerous uncertainties regarding the evolution of the pandemic over the coming months. These factors make it impossible to reprogram the Salon before the summer of 2020 and the Salon du dessin, which usually attracts numerous other events in Paris for a week, will therefore not take place this year.
Louis de Bayser, President of the Salon du dessin said “this is a difficult decision to take with regard to all those who worked hard for this edition, but our priority is to protect the health of all our exhibitors, visitors and partners”.
We send our thoughts to all those affected by this epidemic and hope that this unprecedented health situation will quickly change favorably.
