After many years as a collector of old drawings and paintings, Franck Baulme began working as a gallery owner in 2008. Since 2014, the gallery has been based at 1 Quai Voltaire in Paris, in the Hôtel de Tessé, an 18th-century mansion opposite the Louvre Museum. Artworks from the 16th to the 19th centuries, mainly French, Italian, Flemish and Dutch, are presented there.
The gallery has successfully participated in the Biennales des Antiquaires (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017), Fine Arts Paris (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), London Art Week (2019) and BRAFA (2014, 2024).
Regular exhibitions of drawings and paintings punctuate the life of the gallery, accompanied by catalogues written by art historians.
Museums such as the Musée du Louvre, the Palais Princier of Monaco, the National Galleries of Washington, Bratislava and Dublin, the Royal Castle of Warsaw, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Musée Barrois of Bar-le-Duc, the Musée Fabre in Montpellier, the Musée Georges de La Tour, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Musée de l'Opéra in Paris, the Musée de Port-Royal-des-Champs, the Musée de la Vie Romantique, the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence, the Musée du Grand Siècle, the Musée des Beaux-Arts of Rennes, Nancy, Caen, Marseille, Strasbourg, Limoges, Orléans and Ajaccio, as well as major collectors and foundations, have acquired artworks from our gallery.
