Alexis and Giulia Pentcheff founded the Galerie Alexis Pentcheff in Marseille in 2009. The gallery is specialised in French painting from the second part of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century.
The southern light guides a rigorous selection, often made from works by artists who painted the Mediterranean coast, from Camoin to Manguin, from Bonnard to Signac…
Young and dynamic, in the image of its founders, the gallery has organized over thirty exhibitions, accompanied by catalogs, giving priority to collaboration with artists’families and beneficiaries. Since October 2023, the gallery welcomes collectors in an exceptional location, a mansion overlooking the sea, in the district of Malmousque.
The gallery has long taken part of BRAFA in Brussels and Le Salon du Dessin in Paris since March 2023. Alexis Pentcheff is a member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires and the Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés.
