Didier Aaron : vue de la galerie

Taught by his uncle Philippe Cazeau, Jean-François Cazeau opened his gallery in September 2009 in the heart of Paris’ Marais district, on Rue Sainte Anastase, just a stone’s throw from the Picasso Museum. Jean-François Cazeau offers his clients his expertise and advice on Impressionist and modern art, respecting family tradition while remaining attentive to the changes of his time and becoming involved in the contemporary art market.

The gallery’s exhibitions often seek to build bridges between different artistic movements, in all techniques, throughout the twentieth century. In recent years, the gallery has presented eclectic exhibitions to highlight artists whose place in art history is essential, but who have not yet enjoyed the same visibility as some of their contemporaries. From the geometric abstraction of Auguste Herbin to the first exhibition devoted to Afro Basaldella in France, from the surrealist photography of Pierre Jahan to an exhibition focused on the graphic work of Pablo Picasso, and a retrospective of André Masson for the centenary of Surrealism, the gallery has organised powerful exhibitions, offering its visitors thought-provoking presentations and historical insights.

The gallery is a member of the CPGA, CINOA, CSEDT and Printemps Asiatique. It participates in several international fairs, including BRAFA in Belgium since 2013 and PAD Paris since 2012.
