MF Toninelli Art Moderne has been in operation since 1945, when Mr Romeo Toninelli opened his first gallery "Il Camino" in Milan in association with dealers who had been leaders in modern Italian art since the thirties, known as "Il Milione".
In 1960, Toninelli Arte Moderna gallery opened in Milano, followed by a new venue in Roma in 1967. After decades of successful exhibitions and participation in numerous leading art fairs around the world, in the 1990's Mrs. MF Toninelli and third generation family member Gaia Catelli Toninelli shifted the main office and operations from Rome to the Principality of Monaco.
MF Toninelli Art Moderne specializes in paintings and drawings by Alechinsky, Angeli, Balla, De Chirico, Fontana, Gaul, Janssen, Jorn, Masson, Matta, Piene, Pistoletto and Rivers. The gallery shows the work of many important sculptors including Arp, Brancusi, Calder, Dali, Ernst, Fontana, Marini, Manzù, Martini, Moore and Rosso.
